A very important scheduled march against the war has run into a roadblock. Your help is needed in appealing to the Mayor of St. Paul, Mayor Chris Coleman, to issue a permit that does not restrict the route for the September 1st march. Mayor Coleman has granted a permit for the march, but has denied permission for the participants to march from the Capitol to the Excel Centre where the Republican National Convention will be held. The Coalition to March on the RNC and Stop the War will be in Federal Court on May 16th seeking an injunction that forces the City of Saint Paul to issue permits for the march. http://www.marchonrnc.org/node/25
Please contact the newspapers listed below and call or e-mail Mayor Chris Coleman at 651-266-8510
