Iraq M. 15 Feb 2008 1.jpg

Another bitterly cold Moratorium event with temperatures of 2 below zero and windchills down to minus 12 degrees fahrenheit did not stop the peacemakers of Hayward, Wisconsin.

In spite of the bitter cold, 47 hardy souls endured the elements on behalf of Iraq Moratorium Day #6 and the cause of peace. With perhaps one million Iraqi citizens killed, almost 4,000 (only the "official" number) American military personnel suffering the same fate, and with countless hundreds of thousands wounded and displaced we figured it was the least we could do.

Let's all work to make Friday March 21st the strongest Moratorium Day showing to date, and let's put the Presidential candidates and Congress on notice that we want an end to this war! See you in March!!
