You are now looking at the second generation of Peace North. After operating successfully for about two years, thought was given regarding how to make the site additions more accessible to our readers. We've now switched to a Content Management System called Mambo. This will allow registered users to submit items to help build our site.
How does it all work? Well for most people who want to add some content, all they have to do is register. A confirmation email will follow allowing you personal access. A new menu appears after successful login, and you can then submit items. Does that mean that they appear right after you click "Save"? No - Our editors will look over your submission and correct any spelling, grammar, or format problems (with any luck). Next a publisher will decide if the content is appropriate for the site and check to see what the correct category for it should be. Though we concentrate on peace and justice issues, we'll accept just about anything related (within the confines of legal free speech). Flames or hate pieces may get the axe. Stuff WAY off-topic may not make it either. Who knows, if we find your article especially interesting, it may even be featured on our front page. We'll post more tutorials as time goes by. |
