American Blackout Citizens For Tax Justice Popular Bookmark

In September 2006, the End the Blackout Campaign began to make a public stand against voter disenfranchisement. American Blackout works to raise awareness and educate the public on past and current instances of vote suppression and election manipulation.

Community screenings of the American Blackout DVD are just the first step of the awareness campaign. Groups and individuals are encouraged to utilize the film as a tool to facilitate community discussion so that we collectively can work towards fair and honest elections.

Citizens for Tax Justice is a nonpartisan, nonprofit research and advocacy organization dedicated to fair taxation at the federal, state, and local levels.
Backbone Campaign Community Currency/Elections
The Backbone Campaign started the Bush Chain Gang project in order to aid the growing impeachment efforts around the country. They believe that impeachment is not a political problem as many like to frame it, but rather a Constitutional obligation. Our Chain Gang costumes are available for use across the country, to provide a humorous face to our not-so-funny calls for Bush Administration accountability. CC/Elections questions issues surrounding the stolen 2004 presidential election and other related topics. They provide humor for relief of our post election frustrations and anger. CC is a resource for petitions, videos, audio tapes, books, amazing art, activist updates, censored news stories, and a section entitled, " From the Horse's Mouth-Government/Official Statements" that includes official pronouncements questioning the so-called, "War Against Terrorism."
Barack Obama Dave Redick Popular Bookmark

Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama's views on the Iraq War, campaign finance, the economy, energy, foreign policy, healthcare, immigration, religion, Social Security, trade, and other important issues can be found here.

Dave is a former Republican U.S. Senate Candidate from Wisconsin who ran as a Libertarian with a focus on ethics, and principles such as honesty, limited government, free markets, property rights, personal responsibility, states rights, low taxing and spending, and a strong defense but not an aggressive world empire.

A message from Dave: "Our nation's economic, security, and ethical problems are urgent. It is time for a new direction in DC! We must work to restore the proper balance of power between the Executive, Judicial and Legislative branches of government." Dave seeks to attract votes from two broad sources: 1) Those people of any party who feel the current wars are wrong, and 2) Those Republicans who feel the Party has strayed from it's principles and want to restore them. These two issues about war and principles will be Dave's primary focus in the Senate."

An Independent for United States Congress in District 7 in Virginia ran in 2006 to defeat Republican incumbent Eric Cantor and the other co-conspirator in politics-as-usual Democrat, Jim Nachman. His theme is radical honesty in government.

Inspired by the presidential campaign of Howard Dean, Democracy for America (DFA) is a political action committee dedicated to supporting fiscally responsible, socially progressive candidates at all levels of government—from school board to the presidency. DFA fights against the influence of the far right-wing and their radical, divisive policies and the selfish special interests that for too long have dominated our politics.

Bush Watch keeps an eye on the slippery day-to day activities of the Bush administration with articles, daily commentary, links out the yin-yang and other great stuff. Of its many features, DU (not depleted uranium) has a section called Campaign Underground that is worth checking out. They hope that this site will become a useful tool to help Democrats across the country become better informed and more involved in political activism.
Bush's Last Day Dennis Kucinich Popular Bookmark
BLD is a wake up call for those of us that are frustrated with;the Bush Administration and;are amazed by the lack of concern for the environment and health of this planet that the administration has fostered. It is a wake up call for those of us who cannot believe that we are once again involved in a war, built on misinformation and with no end in sight and;for those of us who think our brave soldiers should be brought home and live to see tomorrow, and not die for President Bush's war.

Kucinich has advocated the creation of a cabinet-level Department of Peace, to make non-violence an organizing principle within our society. He believes that peace, not war, is inevitable, if we are willing to work for peace and see the world as being interconnected and interdependent. This vision strives to find the commonalities - points where unity can be formed.
